4-Week Independent Study | Wheel Throwing & Hand Building

Independent Study – Wheel Throwing & Handbuilding

Independent Study is for ceramic artists of all levels who have the foundational skills to work independently while having access to instructor support when needed. Whether you primarily work on the wheel, at the handbuilding tables, or like to switch between the two, this flexible program gives you the freedom to pursue your own projects at your own pace. An instructor is available during scheduled sessions to answer questions and provide technical guidance.

Includes:

• 4-weeks of open studio access (9 AM–9 PM daily)
• Four weekly instructor-supported sessions (2 hours each)
• Full-size member shelf for storage through the 4th session; shelf access extends without interruption if enrolled in a consecutive Independent Study session
• Access to both the members’ and students’ sections of the studio
• Use of both wheels and handbuilding tables during Open Studio hours
• Instructor support for troubleshooting and technical advice
• Access to all member glazes

Requirements:

• Must have the ability to work independently
• Participants must attend the first session for studio orientation
• A separate glazing orientation is required before using studio glazes

Cost: $225 for a 4-week session

➡ Existing Makers & Clay Members receive a 50% discount and access to an additional full-size shelf during their session.

Not Included:

• Clay (must be purchased from the studio)
• Tools (students must provide their own tools)
• Glazing services (charged by weight)
