Beginning Hand Building | Dinnerware Set Making (4-Week Session)

$225.00

This four-week class focuses on creating a handmade dinnerware set using foundational hand building techniques.

You’ll learn how to work with clay across its stages—from shaping and refining your forms to glazing and firing your finished pieces. Over the course of the month, you’ll create your own set of dishes, which may include plates, bowls, and cups—each one uniquely yours.

Designed for true beginners as well as those with previous pottery experience, this course offers a structured, project-based format that allows room for personal style and exploration.

Course format:

4 weekly sessions (2 hours each)

Included with your registration:

• Approximately 12 lbs of clay

• Glazes and firing services (*additional fees apply for pieces larger than 6” in any direction)

• Studio tools provided during class sessions

• Access to open studio time for practice between classes

Tool Policy Update:

Due to recent changes in import taxes, we are no longer able to offer a free set of tools with class registration. Tools will still be available for use during class sessions, but not during open studio hours. We offer quality tool kits for sale at the studio, or students may bring their own tools purchased from an art supply store or online.

Open Studio Hours:

Monday–Sunday, 9am–9pm (excluding class times and a 1-hour closure before and after each class)

What to bring:

Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and closed-toe shoes.

Students are encouraged to bring their own apron and hand towel.

Age requirement:

This class is for adults. Minors ages 14–17 may participate with a signed waiver from a parent or legal guardian.
