Wheel 2 | All Levels | Bowls (4-Week Session)
For students who have completed Wheel 1. This four-week class focuses on developing bowl forms through continued practice on the wheel, with demonstrations and guidance provided throughout. Returning students are welcome to build on previous projects or work independently with instructor support
Course format:
4 weekly sessions (2 hours each)
Included with your registration:
• Approximately 12 lbs of clay
• Glazes and firing services (additional fees apply for pieces larger than 6” in any direction)
• Studio tools provided during class sessions
• Access to open studio time for practice between classes
Tool Policy Update:
Due to recent changes in import taxes, we are no longer able to offer a free set of tools with class registration. Tools will still be available for use during class sessions, but not during open studio hours. We offer quality tool kits for sale at the studio, or students may bring their own tools purchased from an art supply store or online.
Open Studio Hours:
Monday–Sunday, 9 am–9 pm (excluding class times and a 1-hour closure before and after each class)
What to bring:
Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and closed-toe shoes.
Long hair should be tied back and short nails are recommended for wheel work.
Students are encouraged to bring their own apron and hand towel.
Age requirement:
This class is designed for adults. Minors ages 14–17 are welcome to participate with parent or guardian permission. A waiver must be signed in person by a parent or legal guardian on the first day of class during check-in.
A Note About the Process:
Working with clay can be humbling and rewards patience and care. Our instructors will guide you through each step to help your pieces succeed, but pottery always carries a bit of mystery. While well-built pieces usually fire beautifully, the occasional surprise can still happen, and that’s simply part of the process. Every potter, no matter their experience, has had pieces come out differently than planned. If that happens, we hope it encourages you to keep learning, refining your skills, and making more :)
